Cruise from Halle to the Inclined Plane of Ronquières and back.
The boat trip departs from the Suikerkaai in Halle
We sail along the Brussels-Charleroi Canal through the green Senne Valley. Our route takes us through the municipalities of Lembeek, Tubize, Braine-le-Château and Ittre. We pass the Lembeek lock and the large Ittre lock (with a 14-metre difference in water level!)
The turning point of our boat trip is the Ronquières Inclined Plane, where we disembark for a short walk. Our guide will explain how this impressive nautical system works.
After the walk, participants can enjoy a meal on board or their own picnic.
If the return journey is on schedule, we will make a stop at the top of the Ittre lock where we will enjoy a beautiful view on the landscape.
After passing of the lock of Lembeek we finally moor in Halle and disembark.

Cycling is done on your own initiative and with your own bike.

If you wish to eat something on board on a tourist trip, it's possible:

Shared meals that require special equipment (cool box, large packaging, plate and cutlery) are not allowed on board.
Bringing your own sandwich is allowed. Beverage must be purchased on board.
