This guided boat trip starts at the foot of the Inclined Plane of Ronquières, one of the most remarkable hydraulic 'works of art' in Europe. We will 'track' in a large water basin across the Inclined Plain, bridging a height difference of 68m.
The boat trip passes the Seneffe area, where the Charleroi-Brussels Canal meets the new 'canal du Centre'. We cruise up to Houdeng-Goegnies, where you can enjoy a short guided walk to the hydraulic lift no. 1 on the historical 'canal du Centre' (Unesco World Heritage Site). Then we continue our trip on the new 'canal du Centre', which was built as a kind of aqueduct high above the Hainaut landscape.
Finally we reach the impressive Strépy-Thieu boat elevator and after a descent of 73m with this 'lift' we reach the quay of Thieu, where we disembark. We bring you back to Ronquières by bus.
Our ships can welcome 20 to 350 guests for a celebration, teambuilding, excursion, seminar...
Within the framework of the Corona measures, we limit the capacity of the ship to less than half, in order to respect 'social distancing'. On board we also provide hand sanitizer and information posters with clear safety instructions. Each ship has its own atmosphere, setting and arrangement and is equipped with bar, audio and multimedia devices. Sailing can be done from different embarkation points, with or without catering.
