Sailing regions

Discover our tourist boat trips! We sail through five fascinating regions.

Sail along and discover Heritage on and along the water

Did you know that Gustave Eiffel designed the Temse bridge, or that you can spot the grave of poet Emile Verhaeren from the Scheldt in Sint-Amands? Be enriched on our heritage tours, with guide on board! Pass through the imposing Wintam lock, or be charmed by the picturesque Klein-Willebroek. Visit Rupelmonde and the old tidal mill, the Maritime Museum in Baasrode or cruise to Mechelen and stroll through the historic city center!

In Vilvoorde, Brussels, Anderlecht and Sint-Pieters-Leeuw, historic buildings along the waterway are being given a new purpose. The authentic character of historical buildings was preserved and combined with sustainable architecture. Fine examples are the 'Gare maritime' in Tours & Taxis, the Mima museum in the former Bellevue brewery, the COOP, a new service centre housed in the former mill on quay Demets.

Boating & cycling

Do you love our waterways and nature, a relaxing bike ride and a fresh breeze aboard a ship? Then a boat trip through the Green Belt, the Zenne Valley or the National Park Scheldt Valley is definitely something for you. Out by boat and back by bike or vice versa: most boat trips can be perfectly combined with a relaxing bike ride. You can explore the region along one of the many signposted cycling routes. Cycling is done on your own initiative and with your own bike.

• BOAT AND BIKE BETWEEN TEMSE AND MECHELEN
