Sailing regions

Discover our tourist boat trips! We sail through five fascinating regions.

Sail along and discover Brussels and the Green Belt

Discover Brussels ‘city by the water’ with the Waterbus that shuttles between Brussels and Vilvoorde or sail from the southern to the northern ‘green belt’ through the Brussels Region. You will see new housing complexes and surprising architecture as well as beautiful historic buildings, modern bicycle and pedestrian bridges, street art, walking paths and new parks on the banks. A guide will tell the story of a city by the canal in its many facets.

In Grimbergen, Kapelle-op-den-Bos and Zemst, nature takes over. You cruise through the varied landscape of the Green Belt of the capital , with beautiful stretches of nature, parks and woods. The northern part of this Green Belt is known under the name "Brabantse Kouters", with firm loamy soils, intersected by numerous small streams and the Zenne which is never far away. South of Brussels you end up in the "Pajottenland", oasis of space, greenery and silence. From Sint-Pieters-Leeuw, Beersel and Halle, you can cruise right through the Zenne Valley to Ronquières.

Boating & cycling

Do you love our waterways and nature, a relaxing bike ride and a fresh breeze aboard a ship? Then a boat trip through the Green Belt, the Zenne Valley or the National Park Scheldt Valley is definitely something for you. Out by boat and back by bike or vice versa: most boat trips can be perfectly combined with a relaxing bike ride. You can explore the region along one of the many signposted cycling routes. Cycling is done on your own initiative and with your own bike.
