Road show via the waterway: Makita - Trading Days

Makita NV, manufacturer of machines and tools for professional use, called on Rivertours to organize a unique and original "road show" via the waterway, where product presentations were organized for professional customers at different locations and during 3 consecutive days. The Trading Days were organized in Temse, Hasselt and Liège.

The spacious lower inner deck of the ship Verdi was set up for product presentations and demos. The hall was furnished with theater-style chairs and the presentations were also projected on screens so that all invitees had a good view of the event.

Customers could visit the ship, which remained stationary on location, between 14:00 and 22:00. The presentations took place three times a day at fixed hours.

Information and demo stands were also set up where direct contacts took place between Makita and the visitors. In good weather, these "hands on" were also organized on the outside deck.

Continuously from 17:30 to 21:30, guests could enjoy the BBQ buffet. The upper inner deck was furnished with regular tables and the panoramic outside deck with high tables. It offered good possibility to network during dinner. Drinks could be ordered continuously from the bar staff.

We always made sure that the ship was moored at the following location on the requested day. We sometimes moved the ship after the evening activity or at night depending on the tide and lock operation.

The customer Makita NV was extremely satisfied with the organization of his three-day road show.
